What is the most important thing for an anime fan? You guessed it – a place to watch his favorite anime. Luckily for us, there are many places online where we can watch free anime streaming. Not every anime streaming site has all the anime series available to watch. There are series you can find on only one streaming site and series you find almost on every anime streaming site.

There are so many sites to catch your favorite anime online for free, you can easily get lost. In this post, I will list all the best streaming anime sites and give you the pros and cons of using them so it would help you to choose the best one for your own needs. The most important factors when we choose a site to follow our series with, in my opinion, to have a wide variety of anime shows to choose from and the quality of the streaming. We don’t want our anime to be interrupted in the middle of our watch because the server is down. Another factor is the number of ads on the site. I find that excessive amount of ads disturbing me and making online streaming a bad experience. I also like the option to download anime to my computer. The last thing I look for is that the free anime will have English subs or English dubs, otherwise, I just don’t enjoy it.

    • You can have your own list of series to watch and they mark all the episodes you already watched so you won’t waste time looking for the next episode of your favorite series.
    • It has reviews, recommendations, and a lot of information about anime and manga.

  • Cons:

    • Too many ads for my taste. you need to spend 20 seconds of advertisement before the episode starts (although it is a small price to pay for such a selection of anime streaming series)
    • The huge selection can be a bit overwhelming
    • I didn’t find an easy searching form.

    • The information about the site was somewhat lacking. I had a hard time finding the “about” page and when I did, there was very little information. So, if like me you like to know who you are dealing with this is a problem.

Registered users can even download full episodes of anime to their computer for a future watch. They also have a small forum but in my opinion, it is somewhat boring and useless.

  • Pros:

    • A wide variety of free anime streaming series.
    • Easy search and filtering of anime by categories
    • You can list anime shows by “trending anime” or “popular anime”
    • Users rate the anime so you can learn from others experience.

  • Cons:

    • Again, it is not clear who is behind this site. No “about” page.
    • The anime series are listed by their Japanese names, you have to use the search to find anime by their English name.
    • When I pressed some button I found myself with some “Alibaba” offers I didn’t ask for…

The GoGoAnime.com site claims to have the largest free anime selection. I am not sure if it is really the largest but it certainly has a huge variety of free anime to watch online. You can also read Manga online and watch movies. It has its own app which makes a nice addition to the site for mobile surfers. It has many dubbed anime series for those who don’t like the subbed anime on other streaming sites.

  • Pros:

    • Mobile app to watch anime online with your mobile/tablet (Android)

    • The homepage has anime listed by release date, the latest addition, ongoing series

  • Cons:

It somewhat crowded wit adds but at least when you click buttons you don’t end up in some ad page on another site.
